Congressman Mrvan hosting 3 community forums Thursday in Northwest Indiana

April 22, 2025

Congressman Frank J. Mrvan is hosting a series of town hall-style events Thursday to listen to the needs of Northwest Indiana residents and update them on what he's accomplished on their behalf in the U.S. House.

The Highland Democrat plans to participate in three community forums at locations in Lake, Porter and northwest LaPorte counties.

"I invite residents to attend one of my community conversations that I will be holding on April 24, 2025. I believe these opportunities allow me to hear directly from constituents and better represent our collective interests in our nation's capital. Additionally, I will provide a brief update on the 119th Session of Congress and my work on the House Appropriations Committee," Mrvan said.

The times and locations for the Thursday community forums are:

  • 10 to 11 a.m., Michigan City City Hall, 100 E. Michigan Blvd.
  • 12 to 1 p.m., Memorial Opera House, 104 Indiana Ave., Valparaiso.
  • 2 to 3 p.m., Bergland Auditorium in the Savannah Center at Indiana University Northwest, 65 W. 33rd Ave., Gary.

The events are free and open to the public.

Mrvan has represented Northwest Indiana in the U.S. House since 2021. He was reelected in November to a third, two-year term.
