Update on Federal Disaster Response in Northwest Indiana

As we continue in the storm recovery, I wanted to share information on the One-Stop-Shop happening today in Gary and a new location starting next week in LaPorte County.   

I encourage anyone who may need to apply for FEMA assistance or need to provide FEMA with additional information to move an application forward to attend one of these One-Stop-Shops.  Representatives from FEMA and various state agencies are available to help navigate applications and to identify resources that may assist in the recovery effort.

LaPorte County One-Stop-Shop:
LaPorte County Fairgrounds, Community Building

Friday, Oct. 9:  9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. 
Saturday, Oct. 10:  9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Please remember the deadline to apply for FEMA Individual Assistance under the approved August 2026 declaration is October 25, 2026.
