Congressman Mrvan reschedules community forums for May 29
Congressman Frank J. Mrvan has rescheduled for May 29 a series of town hall-style events to listen to the needs of Northwest Indiana residents and update them on what he's accomplished on their behalf in the U.S. House.
The Highland Democrat originally planned to appear at three community forums April 24 at locations in Lake, Porter and northwest LaPorte counties. Mrvan's attendance was canceled at the last minute due to illness.
The times and locations for the May 29 rescheduled community forums are:
12 to 1 p.m., Michigan City City Hall, 100 E. Michigan Blvd.
2:30 to 3:30 p.m., Memorial Opera House, 104 Indiana Ave., Valparaiso.
5 to 6 p.m., Bergland Auditorium in the Savannah Center at Indiana University Northwest, 65 W. 33rd Ave., Gary.
"I believe these opportunities allow me to hear directly from constituents and better represent our collective interests in our nation's capital. Additionally, I will provide a brief update on the 119th Session of Congress and my work on the House Appropriations Committee," Mrvan said.
Mrvan, a former trustee of Lake County's North Township, has represented Northwest Indiana in the U.S. House since 2021. He was reelected in November to a third term.
