February 7, 2023

Washington, DC – Rep. Frank J. Mrvan announced today that he has invited Martin Del Rio from Highland to be his guest to President Biden’s State of the Union address.

Congressman Mrvan stated, “It is my honor to invite Martin Del Rio, a combat veteran and dedicated advocate for veterans, to be the guest from Indiana’s First Congressional District for tonight’s State of the Union address.  I am grateful for Martin’s selfless service to our nation and continued efforts for veterans through the Department of Defense’s Operation Warfighter Program.  As the Ranking Member of the House Veterans’ Affairs Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigations, I look forward to continuing to work to ensure that all veterans receive the care, benefits, and economic opportunities that they have earned when they return home.”

Martin Del Rio stated, “I am extremely grateful for this invitation from my friend Congressman Frank Mrvan.  After serving in Iraq and continuing to support veterans today, I appreciate the public service and advocacy of our Congressman.  His work to support the passage of the PACT Act will have a tremendous and positive impact to increase healthcare coverage to veterans.  I look forward to hearing from the President tonight on his priorities for veterans and legislative agenda for the upcoming year.”
