Mrvan Statement in Advance of the Joint Address to Congress
Washington, DC – Today, Rep. Frank J. Mrvan released the following statement in advance of the Joint Address to Congress.
“As we approach tonight’s Joint Address to Congress, I remain steadfastly focused on my responsibilities as a Member of the House Appropriations Committee to ensure that Congress completes its work to fund the federal government, and provide oversight and clarity to the unnecessary confusion caused by the Administration.
“With ten days to go until a government shutdown, it is of paramount importance that we move with all haste to pass overdue appropriations measures for Fiscal Year 2025, and begin the necessary action to draft and consider legislation for Fiscal Year 2026.
“I stand ready to continue to work with the House Appropriations Committee and all of my colleagues to fulfill our Constitutional obligation to assess the Administration’s budget proposals and find solutions to cut costs for working families, create more work and wealth in our communities, and strengthen our national security.”
