Mrvan Statement on Redistricting

Washington, DC – Today, Rep. Frank J. Mrvan released the statement below following the final decision reached by the Indiana General Assembly on mid-decade redistricting.

“I strongly commend the courage and resolve our Indiana lawmakers demonstrated in reaching a firm decision against mid-decade redistricting.  Their willingness to stand by the maps adopted in 2022 reflects a clear commitment to stability, transparency, and responsible governance.

“I am equally grateful to the many engaged citizens and organizations whose thoughtful outreach affirmed that the maps adopted in 2022 were both fair and defensible.

“As we move forward, I will continue to work collaboratively with all federal, state, and local officials to refocus our efforts on lowering costs and addressing affordability for all Americans.”
