Mrvan Support for the Pay our Troops Act of 2026
Washington, DC – Today, Rep. Frank J. Mrvan announced that he has agreed to support and cosponsor the Pay our Troops Act of 2026.
This legislation would ensure that military personnel continue to be paid during a federal government shutdown. Specifically, the measure would provide pay and allowances for members of the Armed Forces, including reserve components, who perform active service during a lapse in federal government funding.
Congressman Mrvan stated, “It is unfortunate that instead of Congress coming to a bipartisan agreement to fund all military operations and keep the federal government open, we are now scrambling at the final hour to ensure our troops do not miss a paycheck. Members of the military selflessly serve our nation, and Congress has a responsibility to ensure they receive timely pay regardless of partisan gridlock. I remain committed to working with anyone, anywhere, anytime to reopen our government, protect access to healthcare, and ensure that no hardworking American misses a paycheck.”
