Washington, DC – Today, Congressman Frank J. Mrvan (IN-01) and Congresswoman Nikki Budzinski (IL-13) sent a letter to the CEO of BP to express serious concerns regarding the ongoing lockout of union workers at the BP refinery in Whiting, Indiana.  

Specifically, the letter to the CEO urges BP to end this lockout immediately and negotiate in good faith to reach an agreement that maintains a strong, skilled, unionized workforce at this critical facility.

Washington, DC – Today, Congressman Frank J. Mrvan released a letter he recently sent to the United States Postal Service (USPS) regarding the Wheeler Post Office. 

The letter states that the Congressman is deeply concerned that the prolonged closure of the Wheeler Post Office has made it exceedingly difficult for constituents to access convenient, reliable, and efficient postal services, and urges the USPS to promptly restore such services.

Washington, DC – Today, Rep. Frank J. Mrvan released the statement below on the Iran War Powers Resolution.

“Iran’s pursuit of nuclear weapons poses a serious threat to the United States, our allies, and stability in the Middle East, but under our Constitution, the authority to declare war rests solely with Congress, not the President acting alone.

Each year, the Congressional Institute and Members of the U.S. House of Representatives sponsor the Congressional Art Competition as an opportunity to promote the artistic talent in each Congressional District.
