Washington, DC – Today, Rep. Frank J. Mrvan announced a federal grant award for the Town of Burns Harbor from the Department of Transportation’s (DOT) Safe Streets and Roads for All (SS4A) Grant program.

Mrvan welcomed the announcement from the Department of Energy (DOE) that BP Carbon Solutions will receive $98 million in federal funds for a project that totals $138 million to develop a carbon storage hub around its Whiting refinery to help with decarbonization efforts in Northwest Indiana.
