Each year, the Congressional Institute and Members of the U.S. House of Representatives sponsor the Congressional Art Competition as an opportunity to promote the artistic talent in each Congressional District.

Washington, DC – Today, Rep. Frank J. Mrvan announced Dilylah Johnson, Gabriella Holt, and Logan Haskins of Lowell High School are the winning team of the 2024 Congressional App Challenge in Indiana’s First Congressional District. Dilylah, Gabriella, and Logan used Block Code to create their winning application, “Feline Frenzy.” Their application is a game designed to raise awareness about animal shelters and inspire people to adopt pets where players help a stray cat named Whiskers jump over trash cans to collect points.
Washington, DC – Today, Congressman Frank J. Mrvan announced plans to move his Northwest Indiana office to 8001 Broadway, Suite 102, in Merrillville. Congressman Mrvan’s Northwest Indiana office will be closed on Monday, February 3, and Tuesday, February 4, to accommodate the move, and will reopen at noon on Wednesday, February 5th. The telephone, fax, and email addresses for the Northwest Indiana office will remain unchanged.
